2015 Awards – Best Scene

Through the month of January I will be looking back on 2015, I will be looking at a range of subjects where I will be picking my best or worst in separate posts.

Today I will be look at Best Scene of 2015, these are my favourite scenes of the year which are mostly the ones I had the most fun watching.

Mentions that could have been number one;

·         Escape Scene + Reunion – Room – After young Jack escapes and see the world for the first time he must complete the task to get his mother out and this is such a tense scene where you just don’t know what will happen if they get caught.

·         It’s Just Me – It Follows – When our lead gets a visit from the ‘It’ following her she believes she is safe with her friends in a room until a knock on the door and it is just a friend until the door is open and a giant man runs through the door giving us pure terror from a moment of calm.

·         Bear Battle – The Revenant – This is the scene with the bear attacking Hugh Glass that is simply the most brutal scene in film this year.

·         Church Scene – Kingsman – This church scene sees out good guy turned into a killing machine where he takes out the whole room before gaining control again.

·         Final Chase – Mad Max Fury Road – In a film that has amazing scenes throughout the final chase is just the breath taking scene with nearly all practical effects come off brilliant.

My favourite

·         Goodbye Brian – Furious 7 – Call me whatever you want but this scene was always going to be difficult for the fans to watch and it is handled perfectly to give the much loved character a send-off that bought a tear to our eyes.

2015 Awards – Biggest Disappointment

Through the month of January I will be looking back on 2015, I will be looking at a range of subjects where I will be picking my best or worst in separate posts.

Today I will be look at Biggest Disappointment, today I am looking at the ones I was looking forward to only to feel let down after seeing them.

Mentions that could have been number one;

·         The Avengers: Age of Ultron avenrger This is a strange pick but I am waiting for something bigger to happen in this saga and for it to throw the punches Star Wars wasn’t afraid to later in the year.

·         Pixels pxels A film about video game characters coming to Earth, how can this not be good? Well you add Adam Sandler and his terrible jokes.

·         Crimson Peak crimson A gothic horror romance that doesn’t really decide which genre it wants to use and ends up feeling very flat.

My Number One Biggest Disappointment

·         A Good Marriage logo Stephen King book would make you think this will be good but then this is flat out slow considering the storyline idea.
