2017 Award Worst Horror

2017 Award

Worst Horror

January is here and that means award season and for the whole of January I will be looking at a range of best and worst subjects, before going into what I think are the true best nominations.

NOMINATIONS

Don’t Hand Up

Don't Hang Up Poster

Rings

The Bye Bye Man

Open Water 3: Cage Dive

Leatherface

Flatliners

1922

Jigsaw

Winner

Open Water 3: Cage Dive

Reason – Wow this was a bad selection of horrors, we had terrible sequels, reboots, prequels and a few original ideas that just didn’t work, but this one must take the worse film of the year.

Here is why, it is the third film about people being left in the ocean, seriously how many times do you need to do the same thing, it is called Cage Dive, they are in the cage for about 1 minute of the movie and make the worst decisions in the history of movies.

  1. I have yet to even watch Open Water (the first one) although I’ve heard some good things about it. But then, shark films are hard to really carry too far in a franchise unless it doesn’t take things seriously like Sharknado (even then, that one is fallen off the rails a tad). So, I can imagine how Open Water 3 is so horrible.
I haven’t seen any of these yet although I did recently rent Flatliners so I’ll be checking that out soon and I remembered starting Bye Bye Man and then phased out or fell asleep and totally forgot about it.

    • Strangely, i have never seen the first one, the second way is more about 6 people that go swimming but forget to put the ladder down, no sharks lol. good luck through Flatliners, please say you have seen the original though first.

      • The rumour is that is was meant to be a sequel, depends if they include certain scenes in the DVD/Blu-ray release. However you feel about the quality of the film, if you like the concept i would suggest going to the original at some point, has a better cast too, Bacon, Roberts, Sutherland, W,Baldwin and Oliver Platt
