The Simpsons Challenge Season 4 Episode 6 – Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie

The Simpsons Challenge

Season 4

Episode 6 – Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie

Couch Gag – This time the sofa turns into an inflatable but it deflates with the family sitting on it.

Plot SynopsisMrs. Krabappel, tells Marge and Homer about the things Bart has been doing, and Homer decides to punish him.; Bart is unable to see Itchy & Scratchy movie.

What is going on reallyWe start with a mock of Star Trek with the 12th instalment mocking the aged actors too. When Homer and Marge attend a parent teacher meeting, they learn that Lisa is brilliant student and Bart is still getting worse behaved, while this is happening Bart is causing chaos at home taking Grandpa Simpson’s false teeth.

Homer and Marge decide to be stricter with Bart and after his latest stunt they ban him from watching the new Itchy and Scratchy movie. This proves to be the ultimate punishment that does teach Bart about responsibility but also shows how a cartoon movie is considered as big as the moon landing.

Star Character

Bart Simpson

Final ThoughtsThis is an importantly character building lesson for Bart as he needs to learn not to misbehave or he will miss a big moment in his childhood, we get a clever joke and guest appearances in the movie who are in fact people who appeared in the Simpson in previous seasons. I do wonder how they just make Bart a brat in this episode rather than a clever prankster to which we have come to know. we also get a future laugh about Soylent Green and how you will need qualification to take part get a job.
