2016 Awards – Best Supporting Actor

Through the month of January, I will be looking back on 2016, I will be looking at a range of subjects where I will be picking my best or worst in separate posts.

Today I will be look at Best Supporting Acting Performance

Nominations

Hugh Jackman – Eddie The Eagle

Jack O’Connell – Money Monster

Jeremy Irons – The Man Who Knew Infinity

Jack Reynor – Sing Street

Chris Hemsworth – Ghostbusters

Aaron Eckhart – Sully

Aaron Taylor-Johnson – Nocturnal Animals

Winner

Jack Reynor – Sing Street

Sing Street is the one of most enjoyable movies of 2016 and this performance from Jack Reynor is the perfect example of what a supporting character should do in a film where he guides his brother through his musical decisions as well as teaching him to grow up after making his own mistakes.
