Over the past year I have seen an incredible amount of films and I have decided to share with you all which ones I have seen in what order. I am going to be doing these in groups of ten, where I will pick my favourite of the bunch and the worst of the bunch.
So without further ramblings here we go with 181 – 190:
1. The Guest This horror action thriller following David as he goes from protector to obsessed stalker. We have great scenes throughout this film and a kick ass sound track a must watch from the year.
2. 247 degrees A simple horror here following three friends who get trapped in a sauna with no way of turning the temperature down. It does everything right for a horror film like this but won’t be one to stick with you for long.
3. Ex-Machina One man wins a chance to work with genius scientist on his latest project which brings us the latest look at where technology could be going in the future. This is such a perfect sci-fi film that could be up for Oscars by the end of the year.
4. Dead Man Down An action thriller that follows one man who wants to take down his boss but his plan get changed. This is a standard action film that won’t live too long in the memory.
5. SavagedA deaf girl gets attack and murdered by a group of thugs but a Native American brings her back to take out the gang once and for all. A good revenge thriller well worth a watch.
6. Last Chance Harvey A romantic comedy about taking the last chance starring Dustin Hoffman. This one didn’t tick enough god marks for me.
7. Rain Man The classic film with Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise as brothers who never knew about each other until the money runs out for Hoffman’s care. In what is considered one of the best performance from both the stars we do have to tip our hats to the performances.
8. Mad Max Fury Road This is easily going to be the best popcorn film of the year, nothing will come close this year.
9. Pernicious A low budget horror follow three friends who move into a house with a golden statue but things start happening leading to a body count. A good little horror well worth a watch
10. American Heist An action thriller with a touch of family drama in the lacklustre film.
The Best – All I say is wow this is hard 4 of these films could win most rounds but I am going to go with one of the best complete films –Ex-Machina
A few good ones this time. I agree though, Ex Machina is my fav of the year! Until Star Wars and Hateful 8, I’m sure 😉 The Guest was one of the best horrors recently. You’re right, great music. Mad Max was a roller coaster ride that shook the crap outta you. Great post!
Thanks, I am avoiding any hype on Star Wars hoping it will be good but just wanting to wait and see and being surprised.
Technically Hateful eight doesn’t come out till next year in England 🙁
You have more restraint than me. Can’t wait for new trailer tomorrow. So far they haven’t revealed much, just enough to get my nerdy tastebuds salivating.
And I think Canada gets H8ful in 2016 as well, but technically (for Oscars) it gets limited Christmas release. I hope Ottawa gets the 70mm print… Will the UK?
i honestly don’t know what it has planned for UK, we usually have a weak december and Oscar Jan, while America is other way around
Ooh there are some fantastic movies in this list! Ex-Machina just blew all my expectations away. I’d forgotten about The Guest, I might have to watch that one soon.
