FIlm Focus – Wreck-It Ralph (2012)

A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives.

This traditional animated film follows nearly all the guidelines of a want to be hero and the voice casting oh John C Reilly as Ralph is perfect as he plays the unlucky hero in his voice perfectly. While Jack McBrayer voice plays the innocent hero.

The overall story is great with some very good montages. There are many computer game references and with a well known group of villains in the support group adds a few more laughs for all gamers.

The Woods (2006)

Set in 1965 New England, a troubled girl encounters mysterious happenings in the woods surrounding an isolated girls school that she was sent to by her estranged parents.

Heather (Agnes Bruckner) struggles to fit into this seemingly traditional school filled with a trade mark bully, strict teachers but what really stands out as different is story of myth about the school, is it just a myth though?

When it comes to horror films one key thing to get is a well known horror icon. This one has Bruce Campbell and along side well respected actress Patricia Clarkson.

This comes over as a very good simple cult like horror film filled mostly of dream sequences and an overall very creepy performance from Clarkson as head mistress. In the end it is well worth a watch without really reaching a top scare level.

Best Part: Dream Sequences

Best Performance: Patricia Clarkson
